I hope you've all had a fantastic week on and off the golf course and welcome to another exciting edition of the Moray Pro Shop weekly newsletter, bringing you up to date with all the latest news and gossip from within the walls of MGC.
It's been a windy and cold start to the season and this week temperatures plummeted once again keeping the course very quiet on Monday.
The weekend saw 136 players take part in the Arcadia Cup (Although it felt like the Arctic Cup!) and then a full field in the Mixed Greensomes Open on Sunday.
Thankfully the temperatures are due to rise again in the lead up to the weekend. The year's first Monthly Medal takes place on the New Course on Saturday followed by a Walk on Medal over the Old Course on Sunday. If anyone would like to play but doesn't have a partner, please contact the Proshop and we will do our best to find you someone to play with.
The monthly Medal is also the first qualifying event for this year's CAPRO CUP which will be held on the weekend of 14/15th October. It only costs £5 to enter and those who qualify get an adidas team top and breakfast and lunch during the event. If you're unsure, just ask some of last year's competitors who all had a great weekend, made some new friendships and had some cracking matches along the way!
I will be in the shop on Saturday, so if you fancy giving the event a go just sign up when you check in for the medal.

Congratulations to Gerry Devine who had a hole in 1 while on holiday in Turkey. Gerry had his hole in 1 at Antalya Golf Club, Pasha Course.

Ladybird Quiz Night
Thanks to everyone who attended the Quiz night on Friday evening in the clubhouse. It was a busy place which was great to see. I'm pleased to say that £300 was raised on the night for the LadyBird Group and this will go towards upgrading the inside of their new building which has been part of the new St Geraldine's school building upgrades.
Well done to everyone who attended on the night.
