The countdown is on for this years' Ryder Cup with under 100 days to go until Golfs biggest event takes place at Gleneagles, Scotland. I know many of you are going to the event as spectators or some as Marshalls and all looking forward to it as much as I am! There is still plenty of time to get yourself some memorabilia from this once in a lifetime event.
Click here to check out the fanwear catalogue from Glenmuir for some ideas.
We also have some adidas Ryder Cup Gear in stock and have many other colour options available. Come and see us in the Pro Shop and check out what we can get for you or that perfect present for the golfer that has everything.....except a Ryder Cup 2014 sweater, shirt or cap!!
Last weeks' Ladies US Open finished on Sunday with a first major win for Michelle Wie.
However, what I found extremely remarkable was that 11 year old Lucy Li qualified for the US Open with rounds of 74/68 and although she missed the cut with 2 rounds of +6 78 she is sure to be a potential star of the future.

President Clinton Plays ProV1!!!
Many of you will remember my nephew Ben who worked in the shop last year before heading to a work placement at Mission Hills Golf Resort in China. Ben is currently in his 3rd year of studying Golf Management at UHI at Dornoch. He has joined their team of caddies this year to earn some extra cash and made an unusual golf ball find. He found a Titleist Pro V1 numbered 42 and with the president of the United States logo. Seemingly Bill Clinton was the 42nd president of the United States and must have had an errant drive into the bushes on his visit to Royal Dornoch a few years back.

Rule of the Week 26th June 2014
Playing in the Saturday Medal Craig declared his ball unplayable and elected to drop his ball 2 club lengths to the side of where his ball lay. His ball when dropped rolled more than 2 club lengths from the point it first struck the ground and therefore he was required to re-drop, unfortunately with the same result. He now has to place his ball as near as possible to the spot where it first struck a part of the course when re-dropped. Before he places his ball he notices that there are a lot of loose impediments on and around the spot where he is required to place his ball. He asks Jamie if can remove all the loose impediments before he places his ball. What did Jamie have to say?
A. Jamie was in agreement with Craig removing the loose impediments before he placed his ball.
