The Women's British Open Championship was held at Kingsbarn's last week. Korea's IK Kim won by 2 shots with an 18 under par total to win her first major championship over a wet and windy Kingsbarn's. However she had to par in the last 9 holes after England's Jodie Ewart Shadoff equalled the course record with a final round 64 to take 2nd place on -16.

On the men's tour, the US PGA Championship takes place at Quail Hollow in North Carolina. Can Speith make it a grand slam and hold all 4 majors at just 24 year old?

McIlroy looks to be odds on bookies favourites as he looks to recapture his form and claim his 5th major. The course certainly favours him as he already has six top 10 finishes, two of which are victories in 2010 and 2015 at the Wells Fargo Championship. Who is your money on?

The Capro Cup is only a couple of months away and there are still another 2 events available to get yourself into the top 6 automatic qualifiers in each of the 3 sections.

Honour on the Tee

Pete and Graham were playing in a Stableford Competition with Pete having the honour on the first tee with Graham having a stroke at the 1st Hole.

Pete holed with 2 putts for a Par 4 while Graham missed the green with his 2nd shot and played a poor pitch leaving himself a 20ft putt which he holed. For his par 4. Pete marked a 4 on Graham’s card and viceversa.

Walking onto the 2nd Tee Pete was about to tee up when Graham brought to his attention that although he also had a 4 which gave him 3 stableford points and Pete’s 4 gave him 2 stableford points and therefore it was Graham’s honour. Pete was not too sure about the correct procedure when it comes to Order of Play in Stableford Competition, how did Graham back up his claim?

Graham was able to bring Pete’s attention to Rule 32-1 ‘In Handicap Bogey, Par and Stableford competitions the competitor with the lowest nett score at a hole takes the honour at the next Teeing ground.
