Latest Update

The winter weather has certainly taken hold this week and we've even had to buy ourselves another heater for the shop!

This Friday night I'm hosting a Race Night in the clubhouse to help raise funds for the junior golf section. It would be great to see some of you there on the night to support the event……I'm just hoping I'm not the only one that turns up (at least I'd have a chance of winning!)

I will then be heading away on my holidays for a couple of weeks searching for this thing they call the sun!! Mel and I will be heading to Cancun in Mexico for some Sun, Sea and Sambuca! However don't despair as I’ll be leaving you in the capable hands of Derek who will be in charge of all things golf (in the shop) while I'm away.

We have some great deals and Christmas ideas in the shop at the moment including personalised golf balls, Garmin GPS offers and a fantastic FREE cart bag offer when purchasing a Motocaddy lithium electric trolley.

Race Night

I will be running a Race Night on Friday, 17 November at 7.30pm

It would be great to see some of you down at the club supporting the event and I will be there on the night to make sure everything runs smoothly

We will be selling horses in advance at £3 each. Please see us in the shop or the bar if you would like to buy any in advance of the night and remember to give your horse a good name!!

Course News

Help Keep Your Course in Good Condition!!

The courses have been considerably softer and greener at this time of year than usual. This has resulted in a larger number of pitch marks being made on the greens that may normally not be visible on firmer summer greens. This photo was taken on the 9th green of the Old Course this week showing numerous unrepaired marks. If everyone took the time to just repair their own plus one other mark on every hole, the greens would benefit hugely.

So next time you see your playing partner forget to repair his pitch mark, please remind him or her and help keep our greens in the best condition possible.
