The Masters
Well it certainly lived up to expectations!! What a fantastic Masters event as always and the final day certainly didn’t let us down on the excitement front! What appeared to be a 2 horse race between Rory Mcilroy and Patrick Reed, suddenly saw Fowler, Speith and Rahm all put up huge fights to steal the glory with some more Sunday back nine magic. What a fantastic comeback from Jordan Speith with a final day 64 including a bogey on the final hole and Rickie Fowler finishing one shot back after going -6 for his last 11 holes. Many peoples favourite Rory McIlroy had another disappointing Masters finish as he slumped to a +2 final round and the grand slam once again eluded him. I’m not sure about you, but it certainly got me in the mood for playing some golf! This Saturday see’s our first men’s strokeplay event of the season with the Spring Meeting being played on the Old Course and it’s great to see the tee sheet looking so busy with around 150 already signed up to play. Come into the shop as normal and pay your entry fees, however we will also be asking you to check into the club systems software terminal in the shop before you play which will help us keep track of who has played and any missing scorecards at the end of the day. We also have our first mid-week stableford of the season taking place next Thursday. As it’s a walk on stableford medal you can book a time and play at any time of the day as long as you sign into the shop beforehand. If anyone is looking for a playing partner then please come into the shop and we will do our best to pair you up. Have a Great Weekend and Hope to see you all on the Links. John
