USPGA Championship
Could we be seeing the start of another era of golfing dominance in Rory McIlroy? His last 3 weeks suggest so and have been extremely impressive. His win at The USPGA showed just how much he's matured and how his mental game has greatly improved. Another golfer who deserves a mention is Ricky Fowler who has posted in the top 5 in all four Majors this year.
Countdown to the Ryder Cup
This week I've had my son Jack up and on the way home from Ayr I popped by Gleneagles to catch up with some friends and also see how the course is coming on for the Ryder Cup. The grand stands and 3 storey hospitality arenas look very impressive and should create a great atmosphere. We have the official Ryder Cup clothing in store from both Adidas and Glenmuir available.
New Galvin Colours
We have just received the latest collection from Galvin Green in store; we have a good selection of gortex jackets, insula tops and t-shirts available. Make sure you come and see us in the Pro Shop and prepare yourself for the Autumn/Winter season.
TaylorMade and PING demo days
Our TaylorMade demo day on the 26th of August and PING Demo day on the 27th of August both have filled up quickly with only a limited number of fitting spaces still available. If you're interested in coming along please contact the pro shop as soon as possible as these slots won't last long. If you don't manage to get a fitting time you can still come along to try the latest equipment.

Rule of the week
The balls of Graham and Bill lie near each other on the fairway. Graham plays first and takes a large divot which at this time year breaks into soft sand and therefore it is not possible to replace. When Bill takes his stance he will be standing in the divot hole. Do I get any relief from this he asks Graham?
Yes. If the original area of intended stance could not be easily restored in equity (Rule1-4) Bill may PLACE his ball, without penalty, on the nearest spot within one club length that provides the most similar lie not nearer the hole.
