Ryder Cup
Now we know our team for this year's Ryder Cup and I am delighted we will have Scottish representation in Stephen Gallagher who claimed one of the 3 wildcard picks alongside Lee Westwood and Ian Poulter.. He narrowly missed out on automatic qualification after a phenomenal performance at the Italian Open. Personally I can't wait for the Ryder Cup as I'll be down there to soak in the atmosphere in approximately 20 days time. It's sure to be as exciting as ever, and with the US Team also now completing their team with Tom Watson's Wildcard picks, its sure to be as close as ever!!

Ladies President Stableford New CSS 71
Congratulations to Eileen Johns on a simply superb 40 points to claim the ladies presidents stableford!
Jimmy's tee shot at the 18th New went right of the fairway but he didn't think he would have any difficulty in finding it. He searched for it for a couple of minutes then declared it lost and started walking back to the tee. Before he put another ball into play, George had found his ball and called Jimmy back. What happens now he asked.
George informed him that you cannot DECLARE your ball lost. "A ball is lost if it is not found and identified by the player within 5 mins of starting his search". Therefore Jimmy's original ball remained in play and he MUST continue with that ball.
