This week I am away to Harrogate for the annual Golf Trade Show, which is the largest Golf Trade and Education event in Europe. I will be having a look at next year's ranges from all the companies I currently stock along with some potential new suppliers. I will be attending a number of educational seminars on a whole range of golf topics finishing Thursday afternoon with a teaching and coaching conference which will host the world renowned putting and short game guru Dave Pelz as the main speaker. I'll have a full report in next week's newsletter for you.
This weekend we are hosting the second event on the North of Scotland Alliance, which goes around numerous clubs in the North of Scotland.
Also on Thursday we have the Moray and Nairn Seniors which also goes around all the clubs in the North of Scotland, and Moray is always a popular event.
Good luck to any members who are playing, hopefully we'll see a couple of local winners.

Bob had played his 2nd shot at the 3rd hole Old into the dense heather. They had been searching for Bob's ball for only 2 minutes when he decided to go back and put another ball into play. He dropped his ball and then heard George shout over that he had found his original ball. As his ball was found within 5 minutes of searching was he permitted to play it?
No.
When he dropped the substituted ball at the spot of the previous stroke with the intent to play a ball under stroke and distance (Rule 27-1) the original ball was lost (see Definition of "Lost Ball").
