Greetings from John Murray Moray Golf Club - PGA Golf Professional
|
Welcome to this week’s newsletter. It’s been a quiet week down on the Links with some cold and frosty mornings which meant we had winter greens in operation on Tuesday and Wednesday. However, things are looking much milder leading into the weekend and so let’s hope we are back on full greens through the weekend. This week Derek is away for a well-deserved break to Berlin with his partner Zoe so leaving Alan and me to look after you all. It’s been a busy start to the year with the studio allowing us to offer more tuition and club fitting offerings at a traditionally quiet time of year. We have also been busy planning ahead for the season ahead and have been working on new ideas for introducing more ladies into the game and in contact with the local primary schools to try to further add to our junior membership categories. We have also been chosen as a Scottish Golf Girls Golf Hub which means we will be offering a 6-week introductory course which starts on the Thursday 12th March at 5pm. These 1-hour sessions are aimed at being a fun introduction to Golf for those who have never played before.

Interest Free Finance - Coming Soon We are very aware that golf equipment prices have been rising over the last few years and it’s becoming a very expensive sport to have all the latest products from the top brands in golf. Therefore we have teamed up with Hitachi Finance to give our customers the opportunity to purchase equipment over a set time period between 6-12 months at 0% finance. We hope to have this up and running in the next couple of weeks.

Burns Night It was great to see the clubhouse so busy on Saturday evening for our Burns Supper. Thanks again to everyone speaking on the night. This particular event relies heavily on volunteers for the various speakers on the night and it takes a lot of preparation and time ahead of the evening. Despite some early microphone issues on the night things eventually sorted themselves out and it certainly appeared that everyone had a good night.

If anyone would like to get involved at next year’s Burns Supper please get in contact. |

Anything that makes golf that little bit easier is a good thing in our eyes and if improving your iron play is up there on your to-do list then you’re in luck, as we have a treat we want to share with you. |
Designed with a cavity back and finished with CNC Milled grooves, these irons offer effortless performance to make launching the ball higher, further, and on your intended line easier than ever. If you're using irons that are several years old, we're certain you'll enjoy some performance gains with Lynx's Parallax irons. Come in-store and speak to a member of the team if you're interested in giving them a try.
