Making the highlight reel
40-year-old Australian Matt Jones claimed victory at The Honda Classic on the beautiful-but-challenging PGA National golf course, with Denmark’s Sebastian Cappelen going shirtless for a watery chip before Wesley Bryan removed shoes and trousers for a couple of shots. That’s one way to make the highlight reel! On the European Tour, Justin Harding proved the importance of avoiding errors as he went bogey-free in the final round to win the Magical Kenya Open. Sure, he did have a few birdies and an eagle on the day, but it was the bogey avoidance that saw him reign supreme. It was great to see Scotlands, Connor Syme shooting a final round 64 to finish in solo 3rd place. It doesn't seem long ago that Connor was playing in the Scottish Amateur Strokeplay at Moray GC. Connors 3rd place finish banked him around £50,000 and moved him inside the top 60 in the Race to Dubai along with another 5 Scoltish players. We might not have the same wildlife as Nairobi’s Karen Country Club, but we can help you dodge those mistakes this season with a series of one-to-one lessons with a member of the team. |
