Sunday Open
OLD CSS 76 R/O
Despite the weather we had a full field for the Sunday Open. It was great again to see players coming from far and wide with many of them complementing the course despite the weather. In all fairness it was probably a day you wouldn't leave the house, but you hardy souls managed to battle their way round the golf course. Scoring was high due to the weather which resulted in another reduction only competition, the second of the weekend.
The winner of the Scratch section and winner of the Tennant cup was Kevin Thomson with an unbelievable level par 71 winning by 5 shots from 3 players; Grant Carnie (Cruden Bay) Robbie Sheils and Malcolm Macleman all with 76.
In division 1 and winner of the Tulloch Tannard was Alex England on 73 one shot ahead of the early clubhouse leader for most of the day Les Crawford and Graeme Hamilton.
In division 2 Mark Main was victorious claiming the Plimbley trophy, the golfing trip to Turkey was obviously a great kick start to the season for him!
