I hope you've all had a fantastic week on and off the golf course and welcome to another exciting edition of the Moray Pro Shop weekly newsletter, bringing you up to date with all the latest news and gossip from within the walls of MGC.
Jason Day continues his impressive form on the world stage, winning the Barclays by 6 shots from Henrik Stenson with a closing round of 62. That makes it 3 wins from his last 4 events and puts him at the top of the Fedex Cup standings, and now in with a chance of taking the world number 1 spot if this form continues.
During the final round, Brian Harman had the rare occurrence of a hole in 1 at the 3rd hole. What made the round even more unusual was that he then went on to ace the 14th hole in the same round!! The odds are around 67 million to 1!! Unfortunately for Harman, there were no sponsored hole prizes for either of his wonder shots....now thats a tad unlucky!!
Speaking about Hole in 1's, Moray member Robbie Little had a hole in 1 at the 15th during last weeks mid week medal on the Old Course to make it his 4th in total, although not all in the same round! Robbie hit a 6 Hybrid and was partnered by his son Scott and grandson Scott Jnr.
I also hear Robbie took the match comfortably over the 18 holes!!

Playing the 14th Old into a left to right wind Bob's tee shot veered right and was heading in the direction of the 15th Green. Bob, after finding his ball in deep rough decides to deem it unplayable and measures out 2 club lengths placing his glove at this spot. His ball when dropped then bounced and rested on his glove. Unsure of the procedure he asks Stephen how he has to proceed. What was Stephen's reply?
Your glove is part of your equipment. If a ball when dropped touches any player or the equipment of any player before or after it strikes a part of the course and before it comes to rest, the ball must be re-dropped without penalty. There is no limit to the number of times a ball must be re-dropped in these circumstances.
