I hope you've all had a fantastic week on and off the golf course and welcome to another exciting edition of the Moray Pro Shop weekly newsletter, bringing you up to date with all the latest news and gossip from within the walls of MGC.
I can't believe its November already and I also can't believe the weather we still seem to be getting for this time of year! It's been great to see the courses still so busy in the mornings.
This week I was through at Nairn Golf Club to do my buying for next year's Titleist and FootJoy ranges. We have recently been upgraded as I mentioned last week to a a Surefit Tour Account with Titleist and so I have placed my orders for the new AP1 & AP2 Irons, new Scotty Cameron putters and also some exciting new products for 2016 which you will find out more about in due course. But suffice it to say it's going to be a cracking line up....
We will be one of only 50 accounts in Scotland to have the Vokey Tour Account Status which will see us carry around a dozen demo Vokey wedges to allow us to let you try before you buy.
We are continuing to stock FootJoy gloves and shoes through the year. Our shop selection will include the GreenJoys, Contour Series, DryJoy Tour and DNA shoes as you can see in the picture...
On another note I am off to Trump International on Thursday to make my prebook with TaylorMade for 2016. Sadly I wont be playing golf!
The winter cup will commence this weekend, Saturday, 7 November on the New Course. For a full list of fixtures and winter cup rules and regulations click here or check out the clubhouse or shop notice boards.
Remember we are now in winter rules from the fairways, with the option to play from outside the marked red lines from the grass or from mats from the fairways. The shop has plenty of mats available for purchase at either £6 for a standard mat or £12 for our rocket launcher mats which have been proving very popular.
In the lead up to Christmas we have a fantastic offer on Motocaddy Electric Trollies with Lithium batteries. These usually start at £449.99 for the S1 Lithium or £549.99 for the M1 Lithium. However, buy one of these trolley's at these prices from the shop and Motocaddy will credit you with £50 on proof of purchase straight to your bank account!!
It really is as simple as that.
That means the total cost of the S1 comes down to £399.99 and the M1 to only £499.99 which is a great price. Come and try them out and take advantage of this knock down price!
Click here to find out more about this great offer.
Why Buy Lithium in the First Place?
It's Only 7 Weekends until Christmas!
Don't worry we are not about to bombard you with Christmas Carols playing in the shop or our Christmas decorations going up at the start of November.
However we do have a great offer from Titleist for those golfers in your life!
Buy any dozen Titleist Golf Balls and get FREE personalisation and a FREE ball marker.....ideal for that awkward person who you never know what to buy for birthdays or Christmas!!
Simply click here, choose the type of ball you want, fill in your details and personal message you want printed on the ball and we will do the rest. These generally take around 3 weeks to arrive unless you select the special delivery option which does incur a small extra upcharge. We will then call you once the balls arrive and you can collect and pay for these in the shop.
These can also make great corporate or secret santa gifts, or are just handy if you are looking to stock up ready for next year!
Bonus Ball Golf
We are running a few golf draws while things are a little quieter in the shop. We are currently running a special offer on a TaylorMade R15 Hybrid.
Tickets for the hybrid cost only £2 and can be bought from the shop. Once all numbers (1-59) have been sold, the bonus ball number which is drawn in the next Lottery draw will win the club.
We have 15 numbers left.....come grab yours for only £2 per number.
*The winner cannot credit their accounts for use at a later date.
The Annual Prizegiving will take place this Friday evening in the clubhouse with the presentation starting at 7.30pm.
I will be there to applaud all you winners this year and maybe help you empty your trophies at a push!!
In a Competition on a wet Saturday morning James's ball was embedded in its own pitch mark on the 7th Old fairway. He lifted his ball but before dropping it, repaired the pitch-mark. He was playing with Ken who after he had played his shot met up with James. What was causing Ken's concern?
A. James was not permitted to repair his pitch mark before he dropped his ball because he would be improving the area of drop by eliminating an irregularity of surface in breach of Rule 13-2 which carries a 2 stroke penalty.
