I hope you've all had a fantastic week on and off the golf course and welcome to another exciting edition of the Moray Pro Shop weekly newsletter, bringing you up to date with all the latest news and gossip from within the walls of MGC.
Since the boss man is away you've been left with myself (Derek) to write this week's newsletter. Personally it's a busy time of year for me as this is when I get my head back in the books for my PGA training; I can see you all with your small violins now! I've created a Facebook page for myself to keep you up to date with my playing and coaching, so please click here if you would like to give it a like on Facebook, or search for Derek Ramsay Golf.
We'll be busy here at Moray GC over the weekend with our Black Friday sale combined with the winter cup which enters week 4 on the Old Course. It's also the final week of the North Alliance which will be at Kinloss for 2015 and will return in 2016 after a couple of months break.
Good luck to all who will be playing this weekend.
Rory McIlroy ended 2015 on a high after winning the DP World Tour Championship and also The Race to Dubai at the same time. It's great to see him getting back to his best after his injury in the season and I personally can't wait to see McIlroy, Speith and Day going head to head in 2016.

Playing the 10th (Old) Douglas was chipping on to the green from the rough at the left side. He made a good contact with the ball but on landing it shot over the green and was stopped by his trolley which was being pulled by Steve towards the 11th Tee. Douglas asked Steve what the penalty was?
If Douglas was aware that his trolley was being pulled by Steve he incurs a penalty of one stroke and must play the ball as it lies under Rule 19-2. But if he was not aware, in equity (Rule 1-4), no penalty is incurred, and the ball must be played as it lies.
