Scottish Universities
Congratulations to the University of Stirling on retaining their title after beating Strathclyde 11.5-0.5 in the final. The winner of the men's individual was Jack Mcdonald who returned a 6 under par total 67, 70, 68,71 to claim victory over last year's winner Mathias Eggenberger 70,67,70,72 both from Stirling.
The winner of the girl's individual was Hannah McCook 73,67,72,72 for a 12 under par total, winning by 3 from her team mate Eilidh Briggs, both Stirling. A great week was had by all the students with all of them complementing on the fantastic condition of the course.
Greensomes
There was a strong entry for our early season greensomes which returned some fine scoring. Congratulations to Scott Crawford and Aaron Stewart on their fine 66 to pip Nick J Dawson and RA Young by 0.5 shots.

Rule of the Week 11th April 2014
In stroke play, after a stroke from the putting green, Bruce marks the position of and lifts his ball. After he replaces his ball it is at rest and before he addresses it, his ball rolls and strikes Colin's ball, which was lying on the putting green. Does Bruce incur any penalties?
No. Bruce does not incur any penalties and must play the ball from its new position. After he had lifted and replaced his ball, any subsequent movement is not considered to be "after a stroke" for the purposes of the rule " ball in motion stopped or deflected by another ball at rest". (Rule 19-5a)
